How to Get the Beach Hair Look

This is really easy to create - Here are 3 ways of doing it -

  Method 1:
On Wet hair, simply run your fingers through hair using texturising cream and leave to dry naturally.

Method 2:
Using a diffuser on damp hair and  curl enhancing mousse.
Bend over with head down and use the diffuser  dry the hair about 95%.
Add a bit of leave in spray conditioner if your hair tends to dry out quickly.
Remember to always scrunch the hair (place hair in the palms of your hands and squeeze from tips upwards to roots)  with hands.  This will maintain and enhance the natural curls.

Method 3:
Using a hand dryer, direct medium heat downwards unto the head, while lightly toussling the hair (placing your fingers through the hair and lifting from the roots) to achieve volume and lift.  You can also add some styling powder to give more lift eg Evo styling Powder.

Hair Styling 101 - The Bun

Hair Styling - The Bun

The bun is a classic updo, but adding a twist makes all the difference.

Method:

  • Apply anti-frizz cream to damp strands and blow dry straight.
  • Pull hair into a high ponytail, secure with an elastic.
  • Brush for a neater effect or finger rake your hair back for a casual effect, into a ponytail at the nape of your neck.
  • Secure it with a covered band.
  • Twist the tail until the hair begins to stiffen and recoil on itself.
  • If you are after a messy finish to your bun, pull a few pieces out at this stage from close to the ends of the ponytail so that the pieces are not too long.
  • Wrap the tail around on itself in the nape to form the bun.
  • Secure the end by poking it under the original covered band and then securing with a hairpin or grip.

 Tip Using Back-Combing:

If your bun always slides down or drops out, try a little back-combing underneath where you want it to sit before you begin. This will give your hair grips or hair pins something to hold onto.
